Smile Cookie

We are very pleased to announce that we raised $7,677.34 during the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie 2022 campaign!

We are delighted to have participated in this campaign and it has proven that the simple purchase of a cookie can make a big difference. The money raised will help finance the Maison La Traversée in order to offer free quality care in a warm and reassuring environment.

A big thank you to the population for supporting us and for buying cookies at the two Tim Hortons in Mont-Tremblant. We are especially blessed that our community supports the Fondation so warmly.

We would also like to thank all the volunteers who came to decorate cookies and the Tim Hortons employees for helping us with this campaign. It brought much joy to our hearts and many smiles filled our days.

A huge thank you to Ann Brayley and Peter Arzenshek, owners of Tim Hortons restaurants in Mont-Tremblant, for choosing the Fondation La Traversée to benefit from the funds raised and for their incredible support!

Alain Bernard exhibition

We are delighted to announce that a painting exhibition by the painter Alain Bernard will take place on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. outside the Fondation La Traversée.

Whether it’s beautiful landscapes, characters or strikingly realistic urban scenes, you will find the perfect painting to enhance your decor.

The sale of each painting will bring in 50% of its cost to the Fondation. You will then be able to obtain an official receipt for the amount that will be donated to La Traversée.

Your donations are essential to finance the Fondation because they allow us to offer free quality care in a warm and reassuring environment.

Born in the Beauce region of Quebec, Alain has lived in several parts of the province, from the Magdalen Islands to James Bay, including Lac Saint-Jean and the Outaouais region. He is now established in the Laurentians at Mont-Tremblant.

His passion for wielding brushes and spatulas began in his teens. Having developed a taste for seeing the country, his works are generally inspired by his travels; whether it be from a local area of Quebec or elsewhere in the world. Alain likes to paint on site in front of his subject.

In an impressionist style, playing with light, he is particularly fond of urban and evening scenes that he likes to describe as everyday life.

A heartfelt thank you to Alain Bernard for agreeing to donate the profits of the sales to the Fondation. We look forward to seeing you in large numbers to come and support us and buy beautiful paintings.

Christmas Market 2021

We are very pleased to present the results of our second poinsettia and tree sale, as well as our first Christmas Market held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December 2021.

It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude that we announce that this weekend’s sales brought in a total amount of $62,048.90 for La Foundation La Traversée!

This wonderful result would not have been possible without the help of many sponsors, artisans and volunteers.

We would like to thank each and every one of them and we invite you to encourage the businesses and organizations that support our mission and respond when we need them.

Please note that this list is random and in no particular order.

A sincere thank you to all our volunteers who braved the polar cold that invaded us during the weekend. You were generous with your time and your involvement before and during the Market was a success factor for the Foundation.

Thank you to all of you who, through your purchases, helped make this event a huge success! The funds raised will be used to continue to provide care, comfort and well-being to our residents at the end of their lives as well as support to their families.

We are very grateful to you and we hope to see you next year for a third edition!

Antoine à la montagne
1

Support Antoine… and make a difference!

Why encourage Antoine with his ski challenge?

Because his goal is to raise $5,000 for La Foundation La Traversée by skiing every day until the end of the ski season!

Antoine is an orderly at La Maison La Traversée Palliative Care Home and has generously offered to raise funds for the Foundation. His work with the residents has inspired him to spread the word about the great need for a home like ours in the Upper Laurentians and the necessity for financial support in order to ensure the continuity of our services.

Antoine will post on Facebook a video and/or photos taken during his ski day and will share with you comments from his day on the slopes. You may see him wearing some ridiculous flashy outfit. He can easily be identified by the Foundation La Traversée logo. If you have a fun costume for Antoine, let him know. He may agree to wear it.

Be assured that we will keep you informed about the progress of Antoine’s fundraising endeavor!

So don’t wait any longer… Encourage Antoine in this long-term ski challenge by giving generously!

Garage sale

The team of the Foundation La Traversée organized the first garage sale on May 21st and 22nd, 2022.

After a wonderful first day, we were forced to cancel the second day of our garage sale because the weather played a trick on us and we were victim of its bad mood.

The damages were too important and it was impossible for us to continue this beautiful activity.

However, we were still able to meet with several buyers and we thank them for their generosity and support of “La Maison”. To all those who contributed to the items offered, thank you for your trust!

We would like to extend a warm thank you to all our volunteers and staff who worked very hard to save many items that would otherwise have been completely lost.

A big thank you to our improvised volunteers who came to help us with the clean-up day and our recovery work.

A special mention to the teams from Hydro-Quebec and the City of Mont-Tremblant for all the work done to get us back to normal. You have our full gratitude.

This Campaign has ended. No more pledges can be made.
